Welcome to the Gleaning Corner…..
As a new feature to our quarterly-ish email updates, we will begin posting the items available for “gleaning” in each Newsletter.
What is it ?
This is a great way for us to share our returned items, manufacturing imperfects, old proto-types, new proto-types, mistakes, etc. Our seamstresses also donate their personal time to assembling scraps, piecing things together to make items for kids, or linen experiments, when able.
How does it work ?
A list of current linen items available will be posted in each newsletter. Respond via email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a request for specific item/s and your name will be entered into the drawing for that item. You can request your name be entered on multiple items as needed. On the 8th day after publishing, lots will be drawn for each item and those items will be shipped out ASAP, at no cost to the recipient. A list of the winning recipients will be shared on our Linen blog.
Who qualifies ?
We respectfully ask that those requesting fall into the following categories. Widow & orphans (this would include single mothers with no father/husband in the home), the disabled, and children in need.
How do you decide who gets what item ?
Send in your request for a particular item listed and lots will be drawn on the 8th day after publication, for each item, with prayer guiding the process. These gifts will be directed by Yahweh, in that manor, and He is due all praise.
Can I request an item for someone else I know is in need ?
Yes, by all means, if you personally know of persons in need, please do submit their names, but please keep in mind the qualifications listed above. Because we draw lots for these items, Yahweh is in control of it.
Lev 23:22 And when you reap the harvest of your land, thou shall not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.
